What makes me angry?

What sends me “through the roof”, as the young people say? What pisses me off to no end?

I couldn’t give you an answer.

I don’t like when a string snaps on my guitar, I don’t like being lied to, I don’t like the first impressions I give, I don’t like the scratchy sounds that some mechanical pencils make on paper, I don’t like when babies or kids act weird when I try to interact with them (because I’m actually really good with kids), I don’t like having regrets, I don’t like pretending that I’m happy, I don’t like when people think I’m complicated, I don’t like not having control over the way I feel, I don’t like not having any lifelong friends, I don’t like when microwaved foods lose their heat really quick, and I don’t like being hurt.

But when I’m asked to write about things that make me angry, I can say

“Nothing.”

without any doubts.

Whoever wrote this apparently has some serious trust issues with their writers or designers. You can attempt to justify this sort of thing like this:

“You can only do this much, so make sure you do the best you can.”

That, frankly, kills my urge to go above and beyond the call of duty and do all I can do. And if all you can do doesn’t please the holier-than-thou editor, then one of you has to go. This isn’t about to go and change the way I’m going to design my Ezine – it’s going to be a majestic in-your-face explosion of untamed imagination and function, and no Eastern-bloc inspirational quotes are going to change that.
